BBQ and Beef go together like beans and rice. No rice or beans here, but this is one darn good BBQ Beef-Free sandwich. You won’t be asking “Where’s the Beef” after you eat this!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds BtB Beef-Free Shredded
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ½ tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Hoagie rolls or sandwich buns, split

DIRECTIONS

Place BtB beef-free shreds in large pan and brown lightly. Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl, except the rolls; pour over beef. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on rolls or buns.

Yield: about 8 servings.
